Big Bag

Founded in the summer of 2001 by frontman, vocalist, and lead guitarist Kyar Pauk (Han Htoo Lwin), Big Bag is a pioneering Burmese alternative punk-rock band featuring bassist Ye Zaw Myo, drummer Mung Boih, and keyboardist Phyo Min Naing. Over their two-decade tenure in Myanmar's music scene, the band carved out a distinct identity by blending energetic beats, punk rock, and electronic textures with clever, unconventional songwriting. They made their official debut with the 2001 album Punk For All and went on to release hit records including Villain (2005), AD 3000 (2008), Telepunk (2009), and IDGAF (2015). Known for their explosive live performances, major hits like "Kyone Yin Pyaw Pay Par" and "Thee Khan", and high-profile concert series such as The Big Show In The Bag, Big Bag remains one of the most influential rock acts in modern Burmese youth culture.
