Lazy Club

Founded in 1986 in Yangon as "The Soul Music Band" before officially adopting the name Lazy Club in 1993, the group evolved from a campus jam band into one of the most influential backing and pop music bands in Myanmar. The original core lineup—comprising Jing Pi (bass), Maung Maung (lead guitar), Moe Naing (rhythm guitar), Mya Khine (drums), and later Okkar Oo Tha (keyboards) and Naing Zaw (lead guitar)—developed their craft under legendary Burmese mentors and studio veterans. Through major studio collaborations at May and Navarat Studios alongside industry figures like Wai Thun, Lazy Club redefined Myanmar's pop landscape during the 1990s and 2000s, anchoring hit albums for leading mainstream artists such as Alex, Saung Oo Hlaing, Sithu Lwin, and Htun Eaindra Bo, and establishing themselves as the gold standard for pop studio sessions and live arrangements.
