Khun Htetz Naing

Khun Htetz Naing (born February 13, 2000) is a Myanmar Hip-Hop artist, songwriter, and former music label founder from Hsi Hseng, Shan State, Myanmar. His real name is Htun Win Hlaing. He pursued his passion for music and established himself as one of the young artists contributing to the modernization of Pa-O music culture.

Khun Htetz Naing began his musical journey with his debut song, "Rak Lein Nar" (ရက်လဲဉ်းနာꩻ), which introduced his artistic style and passion for Hip-Hop. Throughout his career, he has focused on creating music that connects traditional Pa-O identity with contemporary sounds and modern production standards.

He is best known as the founder of DOPE Records, which stands for Different Of PaOh Entertainment. Founded on November 10, 2021, DOPE Records was created with a vision of bringing a fresh and modern direction to Pa-O music. The label aimed to support artists who could create music that reflected current trends while maintaining originality and cultural identity. DOPE welcomed creative individuals who were willing to think differently and push beyond conventional boundaries.

Under Khun Htetz Naing's leadership, DOPE Records emphasized originality, high-quality audio and video production, and innovation within the Pa-O music scene. Rather than imitating existing works, the label encouraged artists to develop their own unique styles inspired by global music trends. His goal was to provide younger generations with more diverse musical choices and to help Pa-O music evolve alongside the changing music industry.

During its three-year journey, DOPE Records worked with more than ten artists and successfully released:

Although DOPE Records officially ceased operations in 2024 due to various circumstances, its impact remains significant. Khun Htetz Naing expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the label and encouraged all artists to continue creating music and pursuing their dreams. Regarding his view on life, Khun Htetz Naing believes that what people desire and what reality provides can never be perfectly aligned. He sees life as a journey shaped by imperfections and unfinished aspirations, suggesting that perhaps these very imperfections are what define the human experience.
